Quantifying How Presentations Alter An Audience's Perceptions
We are able to gauge audience members' pre-conceived notions on a zero-to-10 scale prior to a presentation. In this case we asked, "On a scale from zero to 10, how certain are you that you need the product that is going to be described to you today? Zero means you are not sure at all that you need this product, and 10 means you are convinced you need this product. You can choose any number between zero and 10."
Once the presentation is over, we can quantify to what degree the speaker has changed an audience's perceptions. We re-ask the same question as above, and get this response:
