Rich Thau is the president, founder, and owner of Presentation Testing, Inc. His company, based in Manhattan, helps its clients refine the content of their business presentations by gathering continuous, moment-by-moment feedback to those presentations as they are being delivered.
Using audience-controlled, hand-held dials, Presentation Testing pinpoints the exact moments in a presentation when the audience gets bored or confused, and it uses that information to help its clients improve their future presentation effectiveness.
Presentation Testing’s clients span the fields of financial services, trial consulting, safety training, pharmaceuticals, and issue advocacy. The firm was the first to dial test a live 401(k) enrollment meeting.
Thau holds a B.A. in History (with honors) from Haverford College. Prior to founding Presentation Testing in 2001, he served as president and co-founder of Third Millennium, the non-partisan Generation X advocacy group.
Cindy Ng is director of operations at Presentation Testing, where she is responsible for all company administration and logistics. She also provides critical technological skills, such as serving as technician on dial testing projects, editing video footage with state of the art software, and operating a teleprompter.
She received a B.A. from New York University in 1998, where she double-majored in economics and political science. She previously was director of operations at Third Millennium.
An honors graduate of the Brooklyn Technical High School—one of New York City’s three premier public high schools—she speaks Cantonese, Toison, and English.
